I read your post on FAR as well as Depth List; wonderful! I will be ordering your latest book today as I’m excited to explore your insights further. Tending the creative fire resonates powerfully, especially as I recently completed a pilgrimage memoir. Not only did the pilgrimage provide for inner healing and guidance, but the writing of it furthered the process. I like what you’ve said so far about duality and the baggage it carries with it; one duality I’ve been struggling with is dark and light, how so many people fear the dark and, yet, look at the incredible growth within darkness (womb, cave, core, rest, renewal). Hi Darladiane. I really appreciate your comment, and thank you for ordering my book. I’ve written a lot about duality in it, and there’s an entire section devoted to “light” as a metaphor for psychological consciousness. My thesis is that by descending into the dark and scrutinizing our unknown inner contents with the light of awareness, we discover its richness and potential for growth. Hence, the dark is not something to be feared, but something to be explored and brought into awareness. I hope you enjoy Healing the Sacred Divide, and I hope you’ll let me know your responses to it!
